These are my musings and observations on my daily life, loves and the laughter that are all a part of my experience of living now in the shires of England.

The Window Opens - Poetry by Marjorie H Morgan

The Window Opens

You can never truly comprehend
the pain that person is feeling
until you’ve walked in their boots
and find, you too, are kneeling.

You saw them walking miles and miles
and all the time you thought you knew,
but you never took each step with them
and felt the torture they went through.

You thought you’d put their world to rights
and so your words were spoken,
then you put your feet in their shoes
... and found the window opened.
